Attention: Senator McCain   [Peter Wehner]

Yuval Levin has written a very impressive essay, "A Theme for McCain's Pudding," in the new issue of The Weekly Standard (see NRO's web briefing). It provides a natural policy narrative for McCain to use — one that is consistent with his past record, his own self-impression, and his political heroes (like Teddy Roosevelt). Moreover, the reform agenda laid out by Levin is conservative, creative, and fits the needs of our times. It's a reminder, too, why Yuval is one of the brightest stars in the conservative constellation.

McCain would be wise to make Yuval's reform agenda his own.
