Too Much of a Good Thing?   [Mark Krikorian]

The ending of this post by Richlieu on the fallout of the Wright fiasco mystifies me:

Either way, McCain is set up to launch a remarkably competitive Republican candidacy in this most unusual political year. Will the lobbyist-heavy McCain campaign then have the political courage to let McCain be McCain and brave the intra-party pain of a big defining Sister Souljah moment with GOP orthodoxy? Only that will recapture the anti-GOP voters McCain needs, and win the election.

What? McCain's whole career is one long Sister Souljah moment. Now, distancing himself from Bush is necessary, because otherwise he's just running for Bush's third term, but putting some bly sky between himself and president is not what I'd call a "Sister Souljah moment."

BTW, what's she think of Obama and Rev. Wright?
