No More Mr. ICE Guy   [Mark Krikorian]

Now that the election is over, Julie Myers, the head of immigration enforcement, has announced she's leaving. I was skeptical of her appointment at first (Michelle Malkin was too), but I was wrong. Myers has probably been the most effective champion of immigration enforcement we've ever seen. Maybe because of her effectiveness, the idiots in the press and Congress (sorry to repeat myself) have never let her live down a stupid Halloween party where there was "a white employee dressed as an escaped prisoner with dreadlocks and makeup that made him look African American or Hispanic." Joe Biden could go into a 7-Eleven and start talking like Apu from the Simpsons and everybody just chuckles, but if a Republican is even in the same room as an un-PC Halloween costume, they must be a secret klan member. (So what else is new?). Whoever replaces her in the next administration will obviously be a disaster, but I just hope it's not Luis "Gestapo" Gutierrez.
