Early Returns [Mark Steyn]
The Watertown Daily Times is updating election results from NY-23. I like these early numbers from Clinton County:
Doug Hoffman (C) 340 votes (75.4%)
Bill Owens (D) 103 votes (22.8%)
Dede Scozzafava (R) 8 votes (1.8%)
Judging from those eight votes, the likelihood of confused electors throwing the race to Owens seems somewhat small.
[UPDATE: Maybe I'll take that back. Right now the Scozzafava vote is running at about 10 percent of Hoffman's, which could certainly prove enough of a spoiler if it becomes a long night.]
