Senate Leaves No Chimp Behind   [David Freddoso]

Which do you think is a higher priority for Congress? Making sure that millions of taxpayers get their tax refunds in time? Making sure the military doesn't run out of money while in harm's way? Or this:

A bill (S. 1916) to amend the Public Health Service Act to modify the program for the sanctuary system for surplus chimpanzees by terminating the authority for the removal of chimpanzees from the system for research purposes.

Now guess which one of these three "priorities" passed the Senate yesterday, by unanimous consent.
