Actually, if Democrats offered a pro-growth JFK-type tax reform plan, then I'd be for it. However, if the Dems raise the top rates for capgains and dividends and income, all of which would penalize investment and drive capital offshore (to China, India, Eastern Europe), then it would damage our economy across-the-board. Using $150K as a threshold means a school teacher and a cop. Not exactly rich people. Then again, if the Dems raise tax-rates on people earning $500 million, especially if specifically earmarked for Oprah, Barbara Streisand and Ben Affleck and other Malibu/Hollywood types, I might have to support it.
